Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Vaulta Life application and related services (the "Service") provided by Jorion Inc ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service, and able to form a binding agreement.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your password and encryption keys secure. Because the Service is zero-knowledge, we cannot recover your files if you lose your password, recovery factors, or the ciphertext held in your own clouds. Keep your recovery material safe.

3. The Service

Vaulta encrypts your files on your device, splits the ciphertext across cloud storage you connect, and stores a small key plus metadata on our servers so you can retrieve and decrypt your files. You are responsible for the third-party cloud accounts you connect and for complying with those providers' terms. We are not responsible for the availability, deletion, or loss of data within your own cloud accounts.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to store or distribute unlawful content, to infringe others' rights, to attempt to breach or probe the Service's security, or to interfere with its normal operation.

5. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software and branding, is owned by Jorion Inc and protected by law. Your files and content remain yours; these Terms grant us no ownership of them.

6. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms or where required by law.

7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jorion Inc will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data arising from your loss of credentials or from your third-party cloud providers.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, unless a mandatory law of your country of residence applies.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
